What happens when you repeat an apparently common story four times in front of a camera?

TERRITORIAL STATEMENTS is a creative documentary that deals with personal boundaries and integrity.
Four women each tell their story about episodes in their daily lives where somebody has crossed the women’s personal boundaries.
During the shooting the women told the same story five times with three-four days between the repetitions.
This means that the stories starts to slip and change...

Pieces of the different stories are interwoven. The small differences in content and formulations unveil a surprising richness of emotions, all generated by the apparently common stories.
Hereby the film is both about specific persons and stories, and a general examination of our attitude toward the stories we tell about ourselves. How the presence of the camera influences gestures and self-presentation.

TERRITORIAL STATEMENTS shows that you never tell the same story the same way twice…
